Rebooting the Mainframe supercomputer in Fallout 4's Nuka-World expansion requires collecting 35 Star Cores scattered throughout the park. While many players naturally focus their search within the futuristic pavilions of the Galactic Zone, several crucial cores are located entirely outside this sector. Tracking down these external units is necessary to fully repair Star Control and unlock the Quantum X-01 power armor.
Star Cores Located Across Nuka-Town and the Market
The central hub of Nuka-World contains a couple of easily missed Star Cores. One can be found inside the Nuka-Town Market, resting on a table near the vendor stalls. Another core is located within the Nuka-World Junkyard inside a barn, sitting on a desk alongside a Star Control terminal.
Finding these hidden components often requires visiting regions you might otherwise bypass during early questing. Keeping track of daily gaming news can help players stay informed on useful walkthrough strategies and item locations across major expansion packs.
Exploring Other Major Nuka-World Theme Parks
Outside of the Galactic Zone, other themed sectors also contain Star Cores tucked away in key attractions. Head over to the World of Refreshment to find a core sitting near a dead trader inside the main liquid bottling plant area. This area can be hazardous due to aggressive local fauna, so approach the facility with caution.
Dry Rock Gulch holds another core near the body of a scavenger located in the employee-only areas. Make sure to check small control alcoves and maintenance passages throughout each park to avoid missing these hidden collectibles.
The Final Core in the Nuka-World Power Plant
The final external Star Core cannot be obtained until late in the DLC campaign during the main storyline. It resides inside the Nuka-World Power Plant, located in a display case near the upper control room console. You must restore power to the entire park before accessing every section of this facility.
Once power is active, head up to the main display terminal to secure the final core. Bringing all 35 units back to the Galactic Zone mainframe officially completes the repair process and rewards you with the unique power armor set.
